About G. Burbick Farms
Since 1905, our family has farmed Burbick land in Mahoning County. Located in Columbiana, Ohio, the farm serves surrounding cities such as Youngstown, Warren, and Salem. We achieve quality grass fed beef through traditional Genetics, Feed, and Processing. The grass fed beef cattle are raised with no antibiotics, hormones or steroids.
In the past few years, there's been an upsurge of great interest in natural and free range foods. A share of shoppers have started to question the viability of commercial farming methods and have ventured into natural groceries that sell goods produced on family farms including not only beef and produce but additionally things like wheat germ breads and organic lye soaps (rather than bleached white breads and petroleum based cleaning soap).
Others purchase these products direct from family farms. The "new family farm" offers an alternative marketplace in certain localities together with traditionally and naturally produced goods. This kind of "free-range" farming is achievable where the substantial quantity of urban and suburban shoppers support the ideals of "locally produced goods" and "humane management of animals".
Greg Burbick, owner of G Burbick Farms, began raising cattle in 1996, with the goal of producing beef with consistent taste and tenderness. Greg is also member/director of the Mahoning Trumbull & Columbiana County Cattleman Association and an Ohio Farm Bureau Member. He is committed to raising the finest grass fed beef in the Youngstown, Warren, Salem and Columbiana area.
